Poker Aces – learning to play them

[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]

Poker Aces references two aces dealt pre-flop. It’s the best attainable before theflop hand inhold’em Poker. But regardless a great many competitors find themselves on the wrong end when given this hand.

When you are given a pair of Aces, you just do not drop out before theflop. You are sitting with the best achievable hand at this part of the game. So how do you gamble with Poker Aces ? Do you basically go all-in? I’d say absolutely no to that.

Always remember, you’re trying to generate as much profit out of this strong position. You will want to maximize the opportunity. Going all-in will actually drive most players into dropping out without laying a wager.

If you are in the starting seat (first or second to wager), you will place a single wager. Anybody with a decent hand will call, hopefully a person may raise. If someone has made a raise do not spring to re-raise or call, pause for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

After the flop your course of action will be to get rid of anyone that might get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise boldly, if you are lucky you’ll fool one player into thinking that you are faking it.

If you’re in the center or later spot (one of the last to wager) you will watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even with you holding a pair of aces, if you can try to avoid a show-down. Defend your hand by making others to fold after the flop. If you do not drive out your adversaries you chance losing your hand.
