No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker competitor on the globe by many of the top pros. He was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to Jersey before his first birthday. His papa taught him penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From that point on, Phil was addicted to poker and wanted to discover whatever he possibly could about the game. He would tell his elders that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He did not allow the negative comments from others destroy his dream of being one of the strongest poker players on the planet.

Phil began playing intently after getting a false ID with the name of Jerome. He practiced his game at the casinos of Atlantic City. The initial number of years for Phil were a teaching experience and winning wasn’t a regular outcome at the time. He became known at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved 2 final tables and won his first World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, 500 Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the final table he destroyed quite a few of the well known pros which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

Phil made a decision to take his game to the next level and headed out west to Vegas. He continues to play in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players on the planet. Phil credits his achievements to dedication and an eternal passion for the game of poker. Phil states that he is learning every single day and is very abashed about his achievements. Phil knows he makes errors every single game of poker and constantly aspires to improve.

Even though Phil has come first in some big-time tournaments, he favors destroying cash games on a normal basis.
